Down Syndrome "The New Dark Age" ep

Down Syndrome were a hardcore band from Edmonton that existed between 1983 and 1987. The band featured started out with Sjor (drums & vocals) and Bob (bass, vocals) . After a few short lived guitarists came and went, Laurie and Dave came into it, around May '83. That line-up released the "Dark Age" cassette. Then Dave went and Jan came in for guitar and vocals, around May '84 and they recorded this EP was released. Polluted Brain re-prints an interview with the band. They also appeared on the "It Came from Inner Space" comp. Jeff Bale reviewed the ep for MRR saying "Whoaa! A mighty impressive debut EP by this Edmonton punk outfit. The mid- to fast-tempo material here far surpasses their earlier cuts on the Innerspace compilation. With its skads of guitar power, strong tunes, tasteful lead parts, and intelligent lyrics, I can't think of any reason not to scarf this fucker up." (from Maximum Rocknroll #20, December 1984). The songs on the ep are:

1. Other Ways
2. Solitary Confinement
3. Racism
4. Pain and Hunger
5. Values
6. Suicidal Eyes

They also had an interview in the December 1985 issue of MRR.
